Education: Graduate from Springfield College, Massachusetts. Bachelors of Science in Computer Graphics with minors in Business Management and Art.
Experience - I began working with photoshop in high school, in our schools new tech classroom. I picked Photoshop to work with moslty because my teacher had never seen it befor. I've been playing with that graphics and photography ever since. My first logo was for my high school swim team's t-shirts and hoodies, it was used for multiple years.
Practical knowledge of careers in graphics came during my internship at the Basketball Hall of Fame. I created print ad's, posters, logos and graphics for their web site www.hoophall.com . Since, I have done some freelance work for various clients while under the wings of B1designs, including helping with a logo concept and design for a start-up golf company, "Aspen Black Diamond". Currently I am working as a webmaster and desinger for a local bar/resturant I work at called the Waterloo Icehouse.
Programs I use: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, In-design, Dreamweaver.
Programs I have used: Adobe After Effects 7.0, Adobe Premier, Maya 8.5, Z-brush, Flash MX, Quark.
Intrests: Photograhpy, Matte Painting, Concept Design, E-Business and Web design.
Goals: I would like to end up working in some sort of creative arena, ideally in Visual Effects or concept art. Currently I am trying to figure out the best approach to reach that goal. The question is, do I need more school or should I find a low level internship and try to work my way from there. In any event I would like to work in a creative industry, preferably with no desk.
